Hey all, playing in Apocalypse mode, but I've noticed that some weapons, namely my Stone Axe and trusty Saucepan are hitting several zombies at once. Multi-Hits count as multiple hits even when it comes to the endurance cost. Depending on the damage down to both zombies the swing will drain endurance up to the full 2x max weapon endurance cost. Ex: So the Baseball Bat, which has a max endurance cost per hit of 0.006 due to its 0.6 equipped weight can can cost you double (0.012) for one hit ...Multi-hit should be situational/weapon dependant. Stat dependant on too of weapon dependant makes more sense and provides more incentive besides “I can use this weapon on one enemy better”. With Multi-Hit off there's two weapons that can hit multiple zombies.

1. Katana. Katana is considered the best weapon ever in Project Zomboid! Katana can deal 8 damage to the undead with every swing, making it the highest-damaged melee weapon in the game. Hammer is the best one. The lower damage over the other short blunts doesn't matter for number of "hits to kill", what matters is that it weights 1kg, so it uses less endurance per hit than the ones that weight 1.5kg. Basically every melee weapon except small knives or pens/forks and such. I believe cleavers are the exception among those.
