May 30, 2010 · I have a 2007 g6 3.5 sedan and it failed inspection because when i turn the key to the on position, the check engine light doesn't come on. Could it be the bulb is out or a fuse is blown? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. If no joy, it's likely you have an intake air leak post MAF in bank 2. A smoke test is often successful in finding intake leaks.

But you need to resolve that diagnostic link connector issue first. If the scan tool is not powering up when connected & key ON, there is a power or ground issue at the connector.
