Ruger security 9 problems.

My Security-9, was having an issue with the slide release - from the first day I used it. When I put a loaded magazine in, the slide would not release easily by pulling back and letting go as you normally do on semiautomatic pistols. This happened about 90% of the time.The trigger on the Security 9's is of the internal hammer type like on the LCP2 pistol, and it is very smooth. Reviews that I have seen all report that the trigger is about 5#. That was my main reason for finding a S9C rather than going with the new Max (striker fired). Great little 10 shooter!At the range, first ten rounds I put through my S9, the firing pin punches through a primer, and the little brass bits it ejected fouled it immobile. There was nothing I could do to convince it to fire after that. Sep 8, 2020 · Yes, pistol has been field stripped to clean and cleaned and oiled with CLP and the last time I used Hoppes bore solvent and gun oil. Failure to feed nose up happened about 10 times. I was using lawman 147 grain. I had to drop the mag to eject and chamber a new round.
