Lim gasket 3800.

I replaced the LIM gaskets on my Buick at 66k miles. Even at that low mileage, they were estimated by folks very knowledgeable about 3800 V6's to be a month away from failure. If the 3500 and 3900 are related to the 3100/3400 V6's, I'm not surprised. The 3400, while a basically all right engine, had a lot of gasket issues.Sep 4, 2011 · Bad Manifold Gasket??? If you mean water in your UIM , that could mean the plastic walls around the EGR have eroded or the coolant ports at the throttle body/UIM junction have collapsed. wow thats a long time for lim gaskets. last time out i was done in less then 2 hrs. that gas leak. pull the fuel rail back off, check the o rings for damage. replace if needed. clean the holes in the heads if you didnt already, oil the new o rings before rolling them on the injectors, then re oil before you push them back in the heads.
