The new ones only have a ledge in the hammer that the trigger rests ON, not IN. If done right, you can pull the hammer off the trigger. As you can see the rebound hammer has more metal, so that it will hit the crossbolt safety. The strut is just held against the rear of the hammer, with spring tension. The pre Safety strut is held into the hammer with a pin.
